10th title in the bag!

Man Utd retain the premiership title, with an away win at Wigan. Two goals to nil, one penalty by Ronaldo and a match winning goal by *suprise suprise* Uncle Giggs who equaled Bobby Charlton's appearance record when he came on as a sub for Park. Chelski meanwhile finished 2 points behind (muahahaha...) because Bolton managed to equalise at the very last minute.

There were nervy moments throughout the game, Man Utd didn't quite look like scoring, Wigan had a few good spells, Scholes might have been sent off, but after the penalty there was much hope and the cool, calm but rare finish by Giggs settled it. Otherwise the lack of penetration offensively has got me worried ahead of Moscow. I really think Hargreaves needs to start in the holding role because judging from today, Man Utd got outmuscled at the very centre of the park, and found it tough to win the ball back without stretching the defence. Luckily the back four held on and the others upfront played their part in defending and winning the ball back.

Ha! So much for suggesting that there should be play-offs in an event that there was a tie at the top of the table. Even if there was such a ruling, Man Utd would clearly be crowned champions, finishing ahead with 2 more points. In your face Avram Grant!

So looking forward to the Champs League final now, which is in 10 days time, the day that I'll be done with my finals, but for now back to the books for me...sigh...

Oh yes, one more thing...GLORY GLORY MAN UNITED!!!
