It's been more than a week since I came home. Much has happened and much more is waiting to happen.
The flight back was excellent up to the point before our connecting flight to KLIA when we were informed about the delay. The manner in which the SIA staff handled the matter was unbelievable and left many of us fuming mad. Hopefully it's a once-off incident and does not happen again on my way back to Cork. Oink almost missed her flight to Miri as a result and had to leave her baggage for me to pick up to save time. Fortunately she made it just in time somehow.
Two days after touching down, followed my uncle to HKL to finalise some details regarding my electives there. Some amendments were made and I was to go again on Monday to confirm and also for a dental appointment in HKL. Lunch was at Sentul Curry House and the spicy mutton did not go down too well with my GIT; it was flaming all the way from the point of entry to exit and boy did it burn.
Cousins came up from Ipoh on Sat; spent some quality time with them staring at the t.v. together-gether over lunch. Went lepaking all alone in KLCC after dropping off Oink's bag to her brother on Sunday. Checked out some cool Sony and Canon digicams.
Monday came and off to HKL I went again before heading to Low Yat to check out more digicams. Left the place into the pouring rain, feeling pretty certain that I'll be coming again real soon to get an IXUS 80 IS until tragedy struck. Damn handphone stopped working mysteriously that evening and had to get a new phone which burned a hole in my pocket prompting me to have second thoughts about getting the camera. *sigh*. Oh yes, the other uncle came to visit on that day much to my delight although just for a short while.
In terms of meeting up with friends, have seen a good few people so far, looking forward to meeting up with a good few more before I head back. A few old buddies picked me up for some late night snacks and drinks in Bangsar. Planning to meet up with the fellow eccentrics again and perhaps a few more from back in those days on the 5th of July at MBS' family day. Also had the opportunity to do some catching up with the legendary Ms Vino over lunch and a movie (Kung Fu Panda, which was hilarious btw).
And in the background, during the wee hours of the morning, I've been persistently following Euro 2008, marvelling at Holland especially and their attacking prowess. Also not to forget, my all time favourite activity: bothering Alfred the cat at every chance I get. :D
